Vintage Cowrie Ocean Sea Snail Shell Brown Tiger Leopard Estate Item ~1.25".
When we bought our first home in San Diego in 2002, it was an estate sale from a 60-something year old woman’s nephew (she had recently passed). She was somewhat of a hoarder and we agreed to take on her belongings for a decrease in the sale price. It was a great home to raise our first child and welcome our second! However, many of her things were packed away with ours and then driven across the country to Massachusetts when we moved back home. This collection of shells were among the items we picked up from her. Where did she get them? When did she acquire them? Did she dive for them herself? We will never know. I held onto them thinking that I would create a masterful piece of art, only to realize I still had them in the same case 20 years later. They are quite beautiful and I think it’s time that someone enjoyed them!
