Mattel Barbie & Francie Doll Trunk
dating from
1965.
This cute, classic, white vinyl doll trunk is decorated with colorful illustrations of
Barbie and Francie wearing some "groovy", 1960s-era styles.
The front and back covers are emblazoned with the "Barbie & Francie Doll Trunk" caption and labeled with a "© 1965 Mattel, Inc." trademark. A sturdy, hard plastic handle is attached to the top, and a metal frame runs around three sides. Unfastening the metal hasp allows the shell to open to reveal two mirror image, 3-bin, interior storage compartments.

This decades-old doll trunk was evidently used by its young, 1960s owner. The colors are rich, and the details are distinct. The hasp works, and the plastic handle and interior, metal hanging rods are intact.
