The U shape of the gripper is coated with a durable baked finish to prevent any damage to your doll.
Once secured on your doll, this stand sits nicely under the doll's clothing with a gripper going up the front and back of the doll usually under the clothing so the stand is not visible and does not interfere with the doll's clothing
. Additionally, if desired, there is a hole at the top of each of the gripper end that you can push through to enable you to attach a string around the waist of your doll to hold her/him securely to the stand.
