- A plastic Dome head tapered nylon hammer works well when working with precious metals soft sheet non-ferrous metals for raising, shaping and forming domes and spheres. Hammer is non marring being plastic, helps keep metal surface from scratches when forming.  Nylon head hammer has a 4-7/8” head length with FULL domed - ball faces, head tapers from 2" to 1" diameters, both ends are full domed.
