    Description

Golden cowrie shells have been used as currency and religious symbols throughout the South Pacific. On the island of Fiji, they were traditionally worn on a necklace by a chieftain as a symbol of status and rank.
Due to their depth and reclusiveness, Golden cowries are among the hardest shells to find and are still highly prized by collectors.
According to Wikipedia, this would be a larger specimen, measuring approximately 3.5 x 2 inches.
The listing is for one item, only.
The two pictures shown are different views of the same sea shell.
