LEGENDARY LP. KOON AND HIS JOURNEY
Luang Phor Koon was born on 4th Oct 1923. He is the eldest child with two sisters. When he was 7 years of ages, his grandfather brought him to learn Thai as well as Pali under Ajahn Cheum, Ajahn Sai as well as Praya Jahn in the temple nears his home.
Luang Phor Koon became (ordained as) a monk at the age of 21 years of ages at Wat Thanon HakYai on Fifth May BE2487. Pra Kru Jahn was the preceptor. Pra Kru Ati was his dhamma teacher. His monk's name is Parisutho. He stayed in Wat Thanon HakYai to learn dhamma, where he additionally being educated by Luang Phor Daeng Wat Nong Poh. Seeing such situation, Luang Phor Koon figured out to re-build the temple. Lots of people stepped forward to provide assistance and eventually, there are enough funds to rebuild Wat Ban Rai.
