    Auction
    Name:  Cypraeidae Blasicrura Pallidula
    Author:  Gaskoin, 1849
    Common Name:  Palish Cowry
    Sizes:  18.32 mm / 13.83 mm
    Locality:  South Horseshoe, Okinawa
Origin:   Collected live on top of rocks by Boraca family at 10 feet while decompressing.
This is part of our late father's large collection of seashells he obtained while stationed on Okinawa, Japan in 1974-1978.  He was an avid scuba diver and seashell collector.  His interests in shells grew from more than the Indo-Pacific species when he engaged in trading his shells with some of the prominent collectors around the world.
The patterns and colors are stunning on these shells.  Would make a nice addition to any collection.  Our shells have been thoughtfully taken care of for the last 50 years.  These shells have a natural luster and are in excellent condition.
