Barbie And Midge Doll Storage Case Vintage 1963 Mattel Vinyl Case Rare.
Found in very nice condition, this is one of only two Mattel doll case designs that featured Allan, the best friend to Ken. It’s a 1963 Barbie and Midge double doll case has outstanding retro-fabulous graphics. Blue plastic handle is present. Buckle closure works properly. Inside has two vertical compartments, two cabinets with blue doors, more fabulous graphics above two storage pockets each with snap closures, and two metal hanging rods.
Approx measurements overall are 17” x 13.”
The doll case is in very good condition, with light wear to the exterior, light oxidization to the metal buckle, and minimal smudges and scratches to the graphics. There is a vinyl tear in two places along the front edge (see photos), and typical signs of age and storage. Interior is missing black elastic tie-downs in vertical compartments, has a small crack on grommet on right vertical compartment and another near the grommet under the cabinet compartments. There are scratches and small dings, and smudges throughout the interior. The vinyl pockets are without tears or rips. Overall, no major cracks in the interior plastic. Mild musty scent from storage.
