Description
No manual. Power filter for Equipment protection. Use ahead of any other equipment. (battery backup etc.) The Sprague input Filter section accepts AC Line connections as shown. Brown-outs below 90vac will shut down the power to the load. Tested with auto-transformer (from memory 90v) until voltage returns. (one of the pics shows the board). Best of quality electrical components, industrial strength, great bonding, materials, connections, etc. Amazing build quality.• 120 vac 30 amp rated
system
• Triple ganged manual front end breaker (3x10A) with removable links for individual 10A trip for main power(s) Comes just after the Sprague Filter
• 3 position Mode switch on Front panel. O Remote-Off-On controls the downstream contractors.
Remote/Off/On - Effects switched outputs only - The un-switched output receptacle remains hot as long as the manual breakers are closed. This unswitched output is not meant as a loop through for additional loads. But can source 10A The switched outputs via the contactors are the protected mains and follow the Mode switch or brown-out cut off.
Easy - A simple strap between any of the several molex connector positions 1&3, turns it on. (Only If mode switch set to remote) Use twisted pair to any molex.
• Auto shut off during brown out on switched outputs
• Input filter / "Choke" / counter EMF device flattens variations plug strips can not
• Switched and Un-switched outputs
• Use to protect computers, PC based recording instruments, Vintage Equipment like tape recorders with vulnerable motor drive transistors across the line, recording equipment of all types. Great for timer applications, lighting, irrigation, printers or specialized machines.
Shown used with a mini electronic timer such as the 24VAC version shown in the last pic. it has memory and its equipped with an isolated switch closure relay. (white plastic timer) Safely control 20 amps remotely and reliably. The timer is powered with a wall wart plugged into the un-switched output providing charging power to the timer's internal battery. The timer's normally open contacts are utilized and connected to molex positions 1 and 3, and the front panel mode switch is set to remote.
This line cord pictured is short at around 30", it is flexible, can handle 30 amps and is fine stranded. Any 3 wire copper stranded #10 or #12 rubber extension line would work well fitting the ring terminals but make sure you can get the fatter wire (#10) into a plug. Electrical supply house would have something. You will most likely use this unit with a 20 amp circuit so...
