This listing is for a Vintage John Deere Riding Lawn Garden Tractor BELT BUCKLE.
It is made of brass and very heavy.  The finish is a striking bronze color with black lettering/design.  Tractor Model 240 is shown on buckle.  It is a NEW Vintage Collectible - kept in a plastic sleeve and has not been worn.
Recessed black lettering on front:  NASHVILLE '87, STAR PERFORMERS.
Raised lettering on back:  1837-1987 "150th John Deere Anniversary Logo", DEERE & COMPANY 1987
BACKGROUND FOUND ON THE INTERNET:  "This buckle was given out in 1987 at Nashville, Tennessee, when John Deere introduced the new line of consumer products. Some of them were also released to the Horicon, WI factory where the lawn tractors were manufactured. There were 7,500 of these buckles made."  Size: 3 1/2 in x 2 7/8 in.
